The Itinerary

Liverpool was Nova Scotia's privateer (officially sanctioned pirate) capital during the Napoleonic Wars. The Privateer Days Festival (June) recounts this history with parades and battle reenactments.

The Lighthouse Route (Hwy 103) follows the south shore. En route: Hunts Point Beach (rare turquoise-blue water), Summerville Beach and Lockeport's legendary Crescent Beach — once featured on the Canadian $50 bill. Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct (coastal park section) nearby hosts grey seals.
