The Itinerary

Burntcoat Head, on the Minas Basin (an arm of the Bay of Fundy), holds the Guinness World Record for the highest tide ever measured: 17 m in 1869. Today, tides regularly reach 14–16 m.

At low tide, you can walk on the seabed — natural red sandstone sculptures. At high tide (6 hours later), over 50 million tons of water flow in within an hour. Burntcoat Head Park has viewpoints and exhibits. En route, Truro (agricultural capital) and Maitland (tidal bore rafting).
