Nova Scotia Crown Land

Nova Scotia's crown land covers approximately 1.5 million hectares, primarily in inland and northern areas of the province, managed by the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables. This land is open for free camping, hunting, fishing and hiking across a diverse landscape of Acadian mixed forest, coastal barrens, drumlins and interconnected lake systems. The province is especially renowned for moose hunting, Atlantic salmon and striped bass fishing, and accessible backcountry exploration.
